The
European Surveillance Scheme for Travel Associated Legionnaires'
Disease (EWGLINET) is one of the components of the European
Working Group for Legionella Infections (EWGLI). EWGLINET
is supported as a European Union Disease Specific Network
(DSN) under Decision 2119/98/EC of the European Parliament
and of the Council for setting up a network for the epidemiological
surveillance and control of communicable diseases in the community.
EWGLINET's status as a DSN means that it operates according
to procedures that apply to all EU member states when participating
in the scheme.
